What should I say to my boyfriend to tell him that I don't believe in religion? I know that he does, and I respect that and don't want to offend him by saying that I don't believe in what he does.

I recently said to a guy: do you just want me for sex? he replied: is that what you think? I said not until now and he said OK and then just blocked me. We haven't spoken since.. so what can I do to prove that I do trust him or to make ammends? because I didn't mean what I said, I was just asking him a question.
